What is IPCL?
IPCL is an implantable phakic contact lens implanted through a 2.8 mm incision. The lenses are manufactured from a hybrid hydrophilic acrylic material with proven long term safety results. The IPCL corrects virtually all prescriptions with the widest range of correction on the market, +15D to -30D and upto 10D of Astigmatism. In addition, there is the option to correct Presbyopia with IPCL Presbyopic which enables a choice of additions from 1.5 – 4.0D to suit the patient needs now but also considering progression in the future.
IPCL is a solution for Myopia, Hyperopia, Astigmatism and Presbyopia.
IPCL Presbyopic
A solution for 40 – 60 year old Presbyopic patients. The lens has a patented refractive- diffractive trifocal design, ensuring good vision at far, intermediate and near. The IPCL ensures excellent light distribution 50% distance, 30% near and 20% intermediate, with only 8% light loss due to apodisation.
The near addition can be chosen to suit each patients’ requirements now but also considering their future needs. Astigmatism correction can also be added with the IPCL Presbyopic Toric.

The IPCL procedure does not remove tissue unlike other procedures eg laser eye surgery. The IPCL complements your visual system working together to provide visual correction.
